
J.D. Crowe draws five editorial cartoons a week for the Mobile Press-Register. He arrived on the Gulf Coast in 2000, just in time to cover the "hanging chad" presidential election.
He came to Alabama from San Diego, California, where he was a freelance artist and occasional travel writer for the Los Angeles Times, The Sacramento Bee, San Francisco Examiner, San Diego Reader, and several other publications. He has also worked on staff as the editorial cartoonist for daily newspapers in San Diego and Fort Worth, Texas.
